The Blueshield agent onboard Bubberstation 13 has one of the most essential jobs in the shift: making sure the Captain does not meet an untimely demise due to their poor choices. Your first take upon arrival is to make sure that the Nuclear Authentication Disk is secure on either your person, or on the Captain.
Bare minimum expectations: YOU ARE NOT SECURITY!!! Guard the Captain and other heads of staff, keep the Disk safe.

It is recommended to at some point get a flash (for silicons), a medical kit, a crew pinpointer, and a pair of handcuffs.
Bodyguard
Your primary and only real duty is to guard two items. The current Captain of the station, and the Nuclear Authentication Disk. There are many ways you can guard the Nuclear Authentication Disk, but there is only one way to keep the Captain alive: being near them. Keeping an active tab on the Captain at all times will ensure their continued survival so long as you are able to defend them adequately.
It is extremely likely that you are going to get in a firefight with a hostile organization in NanoTrasen space--as the Syndicate does not pass up the chance to do wrong by their competitors. You are Central Command's way of deterring them from attacking the Heads of Staff.
Conclusion
Don't act like a Security Officer. That's a quick way to making Command angry at you, the Captain dead on you, and a bunch of Waffle Co. mercenaries jolly as they fly away from your now nuclear-bound station bomb. Feel free to talk to your Captain and be their closest advisor, as there won't be much else for you to do aside from being a guard dog.
