Welcome to Space Station 13, newcomer. You must be asking yourself, "why in the hell did I ever decide to seek employment here?" The answer is simple: you're thirsty for exploration, just like the rest of us. Get ready to dirty your hands, feet, and soul, because there's never a dull moment in these parts.

Assistants are the backbone of the station, providing general help (or harm) to the populace, exploring space, and filling any niche unfillable by more qualified folk. Most stations will have tool storage available for you to ransack, giving you the tools necessary to begin your great works upon the station. Otherwise, loitering around the common areas and interacting with others is a great way to pass the time!

Bare minimum expectation: Try your best not to die.

Utilizing the radio to inquire other's needs is a good idea for finding yourself some work. You can also work on your own personal projects if you'd prefer, but try not to get in the way of those lovely folk in yellow.

The Head of Personnel is also a good person to talk to if you're looking for a more permanent position. You're able to get your job changed on the fly, and all it takes is a little bit of charisma and hopeful thinking! Just make sure not to present yourself as a dangerous individual.

I Know These Tunnels

Exploring and scavenging for spare parts is a vital part of any assistant's toolkit, and can pave the way to power byond one's wildest dreams. You can find interesting MODsuit modules to play with, entire sets of tools, lots of trash, and even the occasional weapon, so make sure to give it a good look.

Though, do be wary. There are certain folk or things on the station that use maintenance tunnels for more nefarious purposes, and lingering too long or being unaware can lead to your immediate demise.
