Brief Primer

The systems of Sector C7 are prominent waystations between between the Galactic Federation and its outer colonies, located on the edge of Terran and Rumbusan space. Despite being one of the wealthiest sectors in the Universe in terms of resources, Sector C7 has a relatively low quality of life, as the two top plasma exporters, Nanotrasen and Cybersun (the head of a group of corporations known as the Syndicate Conglomerate)battle for control over the impressive supply of plasma stored and sold there. The sum total of resources in Sector C7 are such that control of the Sector has done much to cement the Federation's place as a galactic superpower, but it has been a bloody gain due to the Inter-Corporate Shadow War.

Major Planetary Bodies

Adasta

Adasta is the premier urbworld of Sector C7, colloquially known as Adasta Sector due to its size. Known for the largest nightclub in Solar space, the Thunderdrome, Adasta also sports a massive refinery complex spanning at least 25% of its total landmass, dedicated primarily to the refining of plasma. After a significant colonization effort by the Terran government, its population numbers in the billions. The Security department's gas masks are also produced in Adasta, as they are meant to protect law enforcement from breathing in plasma fumes. The name is a bastardization of "Ad Astra," Latin for "To The Stars," in reference to its use as a plasma mining hub and jump-off point for fleets headed to the far colonies.

Mungo

St. Mungo is a Jungle planet primarily known for its intense ionospheric storms that disrupt long-range communications. Home to many corporate blacksites, St. Mungo is a staging ground for corporate elements and generally seedy activity. Its unique weather patterns and relative isolation from the rest of the system makes it perfect for corporatists and independent actors alike. The St. Mungo government, notoriously inefficient, operates out of its capital, Macaw, and is named after the famed explorer Andrea Mungo.

Gerlach Jump

A gas giant in Sector C7, the Gerlach Jump is named after the TSS Gerlach, the first vessel to make use of its extensive atmospheric refueling ports on its way to the Far Colonies.

Minor Planetary Bodies

Indecipheres

Originally meant to be named "Fredonia," an intern working for the Terran government spilled coffee over the documents they were transcribing. Thus, they elected to name this planetoid "Indecipheres," from Indecipherable. The planet itself is extremely hostile, yet resource rich, leading to a thriving mining industry that exists as the center of the Corporate shadow war. Frequently shifting tectonic plates keep minerals fresh under the surface of Indecipheres.

Freyja

Freyja is an ice cold moon located on the far side of Indecipheres, in its orbit, and is home to streaming plasma rivers across most of its surface, as well as underground. It is known for colonids-- a plasma-based fungus that feeds off of burning plasma fumes.

Arkanis

The opposite hemisphere of Freyja is a sand-caked, hot hell. Known as the Arkanis desert of Freyja, it suffers from toxicity due to sandstorms and residual waste gasses from evaporating plasma.
